Client Development Manager

The Investing News Network (INN) is looking for an experienced sales guru to join our Vancouver, BC team.

INN works with leading publicly traded companies on the New York and Toronto stock exchanges with a focus on mining and exploration. We help those companies to educate the market place, build brand awareness and connect with new investors using our network of 34-commodity specific sites.

The Opportunity:

We offer a base salary with uncapped commission and additional quarterly bonus structure for more money or vacation time -- you choose. In addition, we have a good industry reputation and sell a product with real value that keeps our clients happy and gives them a significant return on their investment. We offer a fun work environment in a hip NY style loft downtown that complete with a pool table, foosball, and lounge area. Client Development Manager (CDM)

The objective of this role is to connect with CEO's of publicly traded mining and exploration companies to sell our advertising, marketing and lead generation solutions.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Develop business from publicly traded exploration and mining companies from research on the Internet, networking and large in-house database
  • Pro-active telesales and in person meetings to present advertising and lead generation solutions in a professional and consultative manner
  • Manage sales opportunities and activity through SalesForce
  • Negotiate and close campaign agreements
  • Representing the company at industry events
  • Capacity to analyze and comprehend financial information
  • Present campaign metrics and help clients maximize their return on investment
  • Provide proactive account management

Requirements:

  • A proven closer with a great track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Detailed Reference check required with us asking about you and your sales track record
  • You made over 100k last year or plan to be making a 100k in the next twelve months
  • Undergraduate degree or relevant media experience
  • Telephone sales experience required (2-3 Years for experience)
  • Experience with Business-to-Business, online advertising sales, or media sales
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Outgoing and energetic personality with strong interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of investor relations or Mining/Resources a plus
